Last night the Phillies and Marlins got suspended after 9 innings tied 2-2 due to rain.

I had philly .

Bookmaker showed the game pending all last night and as recently as 15 mins before they resumed the game just a few mins ago .

Philly just won the game and they cancelled the bet .

Basically just gave me my money back .

If this was the case why didn’t they just cancel the bet last night ?

Why did they wait until a winner was decided to make this move ?

Almost makes me feel like if the Marlins would have won they would have just kept my money .

Does this feel like a free roll?

Should be something under baseball rules for gambling, that's been an issue since the inception of this hobby

I tried finding this instance in the rules and can’t find it .

If indeed that is a rule why didn’t they just cancel the bet last night once the game was suspended .

Why did they wait until Philly walked off the win to return my money ?

Almost makes me feel like they were waiting on the outcome of the game .

Pretty low level if you ask me .

I can confirm I checked my pending bets 10 mins before the restart of this game and it was still pending and then they wait till after the game to cancel my bet ?

Back in the day when this site had posters I could almost count on someone who had the Marlins to confirm or deny if they got cancelled to .

If I could have proof that the Marlins backers got their end cancelled to and not free rolled I would be ok with this.

Although they still should have cancelled the bet last night and not waited till the game ended today

Post this on the Bases board. You would have a better shot of getting an answer. See who had Miami and how they got handled.

Looks to me that they screwed you.

I think they just slept on it. They should have giving you the push right then and there last night. @ least that's what bovada did.

This game should have been graded as a push as the game was suspended

however you should have been paid last nite.

last nite I had the Yankees and I had the under.

I won on the Yankees but my under was a push as it didn’t go 9 innings.

with that being said, I wonder how the Padres/nats game yesterday was graded? Padres win or push?

Draftkings would have graded Chop a winner

 • Bets on games suspended after they have started will have action as long as the game is resumed within 36 hours of the original start time. If a suspended game is scheduled to be resumed more than 36 hours after the original start time, all bets will be void, unless the wager has been unequivocally determined prior to the game’s suspension. This applies unless otherwise stated (i.e. playoff game rule).

Vegas would grade it a push. This is the rule I'm most familiar with. The game will actually be graded based on the last full inning completed

BASEBALL RULES

 1. TEAM NAME DENOTES ACTION. PITCHER NAME DENOTES LISTED PITCHER. A STANDS FOR ACTION. L STANDS FOR LISTED PITCHER.
 2. THE RESULT OF THE GAME IS OFFICIAL AFTER FIVE (5) INNINGS OR IF THE VISITING TEAM COMPLETES THE TOP OF THE FIFTH INNING AND THE HOME TEAM IS LEADING.
 3. IF A GAME IS CANCELLED OR SUSPENDED AFTER FIVE (5) INNINGS THE WINNER IS DETERMINED BY THE SCORE AFTER THE LAST FULL INNING (UNLESS THE HOME TEAM SCORES TO TIE, OR TAKES THE LEAD IN THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE INNING, IN WHICH CASE THE WINNER IS DETERMINED BY THE SCORE AT THE TIME THE GAME IS CALLED). EVENTS DO NOT CARRY OVER TO THE FOLLOWING DAY.
 4. TOTAL AND RUN LINE WAGERS WILL BE CONSIDERED ACTION IF NINE (9) FULL INNINGS ARE COMPLETED OR IF EIGHT AND A HALF (8 1/2) INNINGS ARE COMPLETED AND THE HOME TEAM IS WINNING. IN ADDITION, FOR RUN-LINE AND TOTAL WAGERS, LISTED PITCHERS MUST START FOR ACTION. IF A GAME IS CALLED OR SUSPENDED IN EXTRA INNINGS, THE TOTAL AND RUN WAGERS WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE COMPLETION OF THE LAST COMPLETE FULL INNING. (UNLESS THE HOME TEAM SCORES TO TIE OR TAKE THE LEAD IN THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE INNING, IN WHICH CASE THE SCORE IS DETERMINED AT THE TIME THE GAME IS CALLED).

Since they waited all night as you pointed out, the game should have been graded a winner as your team won.

Making up rules as they go along and unacceptable.

It's kind of like when you request that payout, and instead of removing funds from the player's account, they leave it in there a one, two, or more days, to entice the customer to play more & lose it.

I can't stand games like this from any business

I finally found the applicable rule at bookmaker .

It says suspended games have to end by 5am the next day or the bet is voided .

So in that case they did the right thing .

This is far from universal .
As a matter of fact I would say more sports books would call this a winner then a push .
But I guess that don’t matter since BM is not one of those books.

So they should have graded the bet at 5am. Just strange they waited till 5 mins after Philly won .

Can you copy & past that rule plz

For MLB, NCAA and the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League, for full game bets to have action the game must reach official game time with a winner declared, by 5 AM (in the time zone of the venue).
If a game is suspended and is not completed by 5 AM, all bets on the full game will be void and stakes refunded. This applies to games suspended before they begin, and games suspended during play.

The normal rule is your bet is cancelled.
